Evergreen

Relating to plants or plant formations that retain their leaves year-round, as opposed to deciduous trees. In Spain, these are characteristic of the Mediterranean climate and biogeographic region, and are also found in the Canary Islands' laurel forest. Representative species include holm oak, cork oak, and pine.
