The OSR is an online platform for knowledge and technological support for the irrigated agriculture sector. Its main purpose is to provide information on the economic, social, and environmental sustainability of irrigated agriculture in Spain, contributing to transparency and public trust in this sector. Royal Decree 854/2022 of October 11, creates the National Irrigation Board and the Irrigation Sustainability Observatory.

Registration and membership in the Irrigation Sustainability Observatory (OSR) is free. There are no fees.

The OSR does not have the purpose of providing financial aid, although it will generate services that may have a positive impact on economic, social and environmental benefits for irrigation communities.

The OSR is an online platform for knowledge and technological support for the irrigated agriculture sector. It is currently in its development phase and relies on the active participation and leadership of irrigators in its collective construction. Currently, registered OSR members already represent over one million hectares of irrigated land. Those who register with the OSR will be the presidents of the irrigation communities or their designated representative with technical expertise. To register, they must submit the completed and signed registration form.
