Countryside

1. A large expanse of flat land. 2. In general, this term refers to a flat, extensive field dedicated to cultivation. However, strictly speaking, in geomorphology, it refers to a low-lying area characteristic of the northern subplateau, where erosion of the limestone cover has resulted in a gentler relief over soft materials, such as marls and clays, below the plateau line.
