Forest destruction is the process of forest cover destruction through logging or fires. It is closely linked to activities such as logging or the imposition of new land uses (agriculture, livestock farming, infrastructure, etc.). Despite the impact of fires, Spain's forest area has increased, currently occupying more than 35.1% of the country's total area (World Bank data), thanks to reforestation policies.
