Erosion

Natural weathering of landforms by the action of external agents such as water, wind, ice, plants, and humans, among others. After the disintegration (weathering) of landforms, these are transported and deposited in sedimentary basins. It is a natural process upon which landforms depend. It can be intensified by human activity and, when it affects soils, can lead to their degradation or loss, which is considered a serious environmental problem.
