Landscape

1. A portion of territory exhibiting similar morphological and functional characteristics as a result of the action and interaction of natural and human factors. It corresponds to the area of geographic space visible to the human eye at intermediate scales, although it is also used in classifications of its modalities on a global scale. Landscape has become a fundamental tool in territorial planning; hence the importance of the cartographic representation of the existing modalities within the territory targeted for intervention. 2. Any part of the territory as perceived by the population, whose character is the result of the action and interaction of natural and/or human factors.
