Region

A group of municipalities with similar natural characteristics (climate, agriculture, soils, etc.) and human characteristics (history, culture, etc.), which maintain a close relationship with each other, often generating a strong sense of belonging among their inhabitants. In some places, they have been granted legal and administrative status intermediate between that of a municipality and a province.
