Vegetable waste

These are derived from leaves and other plant parts. When broken down by soil microorganisms, they are transformed into organic matter and subsequently into humus, a source of nitrogen and other nutrients. They are applied to crops, especially in soils deficient in organic matter.

Fertilizer products

Those included in the scope of Regulation (EU) 2019/1009 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 5 June 2019 regulating the placing on the market of EU fertiliser products, or Royal Decree 506/2013 of 26 June on fertiliser products.

Manure

1. Feces and urine, mixed or not with bedding and water to form liquid manure, which can flow by gravity and be pumped. 2. Liquid manure with more than 85% moisture. 3. Liquid excrement excreted by livestock.

Enclosure

It corresponds to the definition of SIGPAC Enclosure contained in Article 4 of Royal Decree 1077/2014, of December 19, which regulates the geographic information system for agricultural parcels, that is, the continuous area of land, geographically delimited, within a parcel with a single use.

Piezometer

Protected drilling carried out in the ground at different depths to obtain groundwater samples and evaluate their quality and flow.

Fast-growing forest plantation

Cultivation of short-rotation forest species under an intensive regime in which the planting framework and silviculture to be applied will be determined by the planned production destination.

Nutrient

Chemical element essential for plant life and plant growth, in addition to carbon (C), oxygen (O) and hydrogen (H) coming especially from air and water.
