Liquid livestock manure plus wash water
Material produced by cattle or pigs in housing that does not use much straw or other bedding. Liquid livestock manure plus wash water can range from a semisolid with 12% of dry matter to a liquid with 3-4% of dry matter.
Digestate
Organic material obtained by anaerobic digestion in accordance with the requirements of Component Material Categories 4 and 5 (CMC4 and CMC5) of Annex II of Regulation (EU) 2019/1009.
BOD (Biochemical Oxygen Demand)
It is the dissolved oxygen required by organisms for the aerobic decomposition of organic matter present in water. The data used for the purposes of this rating should be measured at 20°C and for a period of 5 days (BOD5).
