BOD (Biochemical Oxygen Demand)

It is the dissolved oxygen required by organisms for the aerobic decomposition of organic matter present in water. The data used for the purposes of this rating should be measured at 20°C and for a period of 5 days (BOD5).

It is the excessive compaction of soil, both on the surface and at depth, caused by the movement of heavy machinery. This hinders the circulation of water and air and increases runoff and water erosion.

Organic material obtained by aerobic composting in accordance with the requirements of Component Material Category 3 (CMC3) of Annex II of Regulation (EU) 2019/1009.
