Active population
All persons of legal working age who are either working or seeking employment. In Spain, those over 16 are considered to be in this situation.
Unemployed population
Working-age population (over 16 years old) who do not work, but are looking for work.
Inactive population
The group of citizens of a country, aged 16 or over, who meet the requirements to work but are not part of the labor market; that is, they are neither employed nor unemployed. This group includes students, early retirees and retirees, and those engaged in informal work.
Employed population
Working-age population (in Spain, those over 16 are considered to be in this situation) who are doing so.
Rural population
All persons residing in municipalities with a predominantly agrarian socioeconomic background or with fewer than 10,000 inhabitants.
Urban population
All people living in cities or municipalities with a predominantly industrial or service-oriented socioeconomic background or with more than 10,000 inhabitants.

Census
