Protected areas
These are land or marine areas that, in recognition of their outstanding natural values, are specifically dedicated to nature conservation and are therefore subject to a special legal regime for their protection.
Species of community interest
Those that are endangered, vulnerable, rare, or endemic in the EU and require special attention due to the uniqueness of their habitat and/or the potential impact that their exploitation may have on their conservation.
Conservation
Set of measures necessary to maintain or restore natural habitats and populations of wild fauna and flora species in a favorable state.
Ramsar Convention
Intergovernmental treaty whose objective is the conservation and wise use of wetlands, through national action and international cooperation, in order to contribute to the achievement of sustainable development worldwide.
Ospar Agreement
Convention on the Protection of the Marine Environment of the North-East Atlantic. Its objectives are to conserve marine ecosystems, human health, and, where possible, restore marine areas that have been adversely affected by human activities by preventing and eliminating pollution and protecting them.

Wilderness area
They are generally large, unmodified or slightly modified areas that retain their natural character and influence, without significant or permanent human settlements, and are protected and managed to preserve their natural condition.
Organic farming
An agricultural production system that does not use synthetic chemicals and seeks maximum environmental balance. Natural fertilizer methods are employed and the rational use of resources: water, soil, and genetic heritage is sought.
